A Wedding in Color and Contrast at the Deer Park Villa
Set among the redwoods at Deer Park Villa, Anna and Katie’s wedding was designed as a vibrant, playful ode to love—with juicy color, artful structure, and an atmosphere that felt both secluded and electric. Their vision called for florals that celebrated contrast: bold yet soft, sculptural yet organic, personal yet deeply collaborative.
The bridal bouquet was designed as a statement—colorful, striking, and composed with intentional movement. Featuring orchids, allium, anthuriums, calla lilies, butterfly ranunculus, amaranthus, and Iceland poppies, it was finished with a lime silk ribbon that added whimsy. Each stem was placed for depth, color tension, and visual rhythm.
The ceremony design reflected the balance between both of their personalities. Two white, asymmetrical pedestals anchored the altar, each adorned with medium-sized floral arrangements at the top and base—layered with moss-toned greens and premium blooms to create height, texture, and impact. Aisle markers, built directly on the ground with no visible mechanics, were placed at the beginning of the aisle to suggest the quiet emergence of wild growth.
The palette moved between playful pinks, lime, and citrus tones, grounded by deep forest greens—designed to evoke both energy and intimacy.The design was a quiet nod to the couple’s dynamic: one garden-inspired and expressive, the other composed, thoughtful, and sharp-witted.
For the reception, round banquet tables featured modern plate arrangements—styled like floral “courses,” served as if flowers themselves were part of the meal. Each plate was a curated composition of blooms, offering a fresh, joyful take on tablescape design.
The result was immersive, vibrant, and wildly personal—a true reflection of Anna and Katie’s story.
